External open innovation partner programDDS for local administration of nucleotides
Do you have Drug Delivery Systems (DDS) for local administration of nucleotides? Are you interested in partnering with a pharma company to transform your proprietary science into a new medicine?
What we are looking for

Our partner is interested in DDS ligands including, small molecules, peptides, aptamers and antibodies to deliver nucleotides into cells via local administration. Nanoparticles and compounds for combination use with nucleotides are also pursued. Our partner is particularly focused on applications for sensory system and CNS.

Our partner is looking for DDS satisfying one or more of the conditions below:
- Enhancing cell penetration to reduce the dose to about one tenth.
- Increasing cell specificity of the delivery to significantly mitigate toxicities.
- Increasing nucleotide retention to reduce the dose frequency.
Local-administration version of GalNAc, a DDS ligand targeting hepatocyte via systemic administration, is ideal. Other ligands, nanoparticles, and compounds for combination use with the nucleotides which can attain the similar effect with GalNAc are desired.

DDS profiled in vivo in comparison with the corresponding naked nucleotide is desired such as knockdown efficiency, dose, toxicities, duration of action etc.

The priority of nucleotides are as follows: antisense oligonucleotide > siRNA > mRNA > plasmid DNA. The priority of administration routes is as follows: intravitreal > eye-drop > intratympanic > intrathecal > pulmonary.

Systemic administration routes and Intrahepatic administration routes are out of the scope.

What we offer and how does it work

All proposals will be assessed by our Research & Development team. Based on the level of interest within the Company research portfolio and strategic fit, we will enter into discussion with selected candidate(s), potentially leading to partnership agreements or collaborations.
